At My Cubby House Early Learning, we are proud to offer the Free Kindy, Queensland Kindergarten approved educational program.
Designed for the year before they start school, kindy helps children develop important early learning skills, build confidence and enhance their overall wellbeing.
Free Kindy gives eligible children 15 hours per week for up to 40 weeks per year in a program approved by the Queensland Government. All incursions & excursions are now included in the daily fee and covered by the funding.
The new Queensland Government is delivering Free Kindy, giving kids the chance to explore, play and learn.
Elegible Child Criteria
For 4-year-olds
Children aged at least 4 years of age by 30 June in the year before they attend school
Attending an approved kindy
A government-approved educational program offering free kindy in sessional or long day care settings
With a qualified kindy teacher
A kindergarten program is delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher
For 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Kindy is 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and is FREE

At My Cubby House, children are encouraged to discover, question and explore in a warm, supportive environment. Our educators design hands-on experiences that help little learners make sense of their world—whether they’re investigating nature, engaging in sensory play or experimenting with early literacy and numeracy concepts.

Play
Play is at the heart of everything we do. It’s how children develop confidence, creativity and strong social skills. At My Cubby House, your child will enjoy playful experiences that spark imagination, build friendships and support emotional wellbeing.
Through imaginative, outdoor and dramatic play, children learn to collaborate, solve problems and express themselves. These joyful moments help them understand feelings, develop empathy and navigate the world around them with confidence.
Learn
Our kindy program supports children to become independent, resilient and capable learners. With guidance from our experienced educators, children are encouraged to make choices, participate in routines and engage in enriching challenges.
As they learn alongside their peers, they build positive relationships, celebrate achievements and develop a strong sense of identity. We help children see challenges as opportunities—nurturing a growth mindset that prepares them for school and beyond.

Enrolments for 2026
There’s still time to enrol your child in our Free Kindy program for 2026, where your child gets a chance to explore, play and learn. To be eligible for Free Kindy, your child must be at least 4 years of age by 30 June in the year before they start school. Check the kindy age calculator here and the kindy calendar below.
